Concrete With Clean Edges.
Driveway aprons, garage and shed pads, sidewalks, curbs and steps across Rockland, Prescott-Russell and Ottawa. Formed straight, poured on a prepared base and finished to read cleanly against the asphalt, the stone and the house.
Concrete is judged at the edge and the joint. Straight forms, a real base and control joints in the right place are the whole job.
What Concrete Work Covers
Driveway Aprons
The transition between garage slab and asphalt, poured to the slab elevation so the door line stays clean.
Pads & Slabs
Garage, shed, hot-tub and equipment pads on a compacted base, with reinforcing where the load asks for it.
Sidewalks & Walkways
Broom-finished walks and entrances with control joints laid out, not guessed.
Curbs & Borders
Poured curbs and edge restraints along driveways, beds and parking areas.
Steps & Landings
Entrance steps and landings formed to consistent riser heights.
Concrete Rehabilitation
Cracked or heaved sections removed and replaced, matched to what remains.
Base & Forms
Compacted granular base, forms set to string line and checked for grade before the truck is ordered.
What Shapes Concrete That Lasts
The base carries the slab. Soft ground under concrete shows up as a crack within two winters.
Air-entrained mix for exterior work, because Eastern Ontario freezes and salts.
Control joints are placed to the slab’s geometry, so cracking happens where it was planned.
Aprons and pads are poured to the elevations set by the garage slab and the asphalt, so nothing steps.
Questions About Concrete Work
PB’s driveways are asphalt or interlock. For concrete, the work is aprons, pads, sidewalks, curbs, steps and rehabilitation, usually built alongside a driveway or a wall.
Apron cost depends on width, depth, reinforcement and what the existing base needs before the pour. Every apron is quoted after a site visit, HST added. Discuss your project at (343) 842-0096.
Yes, and often should be: a concrete apron at the garage, concrete curbs at the edge and asphalt for the field. One crew builds both, so the elevations agree.
From late spring to early fall, once ground temperatures allow a proper cure. Cold-weather pours are possible with protection, and PB says when they are not worth it.
